1903
to 1906
In 1903 Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen
(born in 1872) and his ship, the Gjoa start out on their
journey to the High Arctic. Three years later he became
the first to travel through the Northwest Passage. |

2005
Arctic Quest was launched at the Gallery at First Canadian
Place in Toronto on January 12, 2005 with the help of
astronaut Roberta Bondar and legendary
artist Doris McCarthy (on the right).

Year of Celebration began! |

2006
Doris McCarthy donated painting to Arctic Quest
at Quest Nature Tours during the media event held on January
11, 2006. The painting was auctioned during our Art Auction
& Fundraising Event. Proceeds went to the Inuit Art Foundation.

Runs concurrently with the Alainait
Festival of the Arts in Iqaluit,
arts from all over the North.
This exciting travelling exhibition will then be transported
to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA and hosted by:
