The Vancouver Maritime Museum has a fabulous collection
of Northwest Passage memorabilia. It is the principal
maritime museum on the Pacific Coast of Canada, and one
of the major maritime museums on the West Coast of North
America. The Vancouver Maritime Museum is the greater
Vancouver region's link to maritime history, art, culture
and technology, relating the past to the present and looking
to the future through its programs and exhibitions. |

Across the Top
of the World: The Quest for the Northwest Passage,
written by Director of Vancouver Maritime Museum, James
P. Delgado. It is one of the most beautiful, detailed
and well written books on the history of Arctic travel
that we have seen. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical
Society and a Fellow of the Explorers’ Club, Jim
is the author or editor of nearly thirty books and numerous
articles, most recently Lost Warships: An Archaeological
Tour of War at Sea. Both books are international
best-sellers published simultaneously in North America
and Britain. |
